Event Planning: Third Thursday Recording

At this virtual Third Thursday session, held on August 17, watch to get advice and tips for planning events. The Community Foundation team shared what to consider when holding an event that is primarily focused on fundraising as well as events where fundraising is not the main objective.

Also joining the session was Ginny Ayers, the executive director of Literacy Volunteers of the New River Valley, who shared examples of the types of events that her team has done in the past, along with the pros and cons of each.

The Third Thursday Society is a monthly networking and educational opportunity for nonprofit staff and board members sponsored by the Community Foundation of the New River Valley. Speakers provide programs on a variety of topics in nonprofit management.
