Our Aging in Place Work to Date

  • The Lifespan Friendly Homes Program was launched, providing home modifications and energy assessments to low-income adults, with the help of a $84,000 grant from Partners for Places, an initiative of the Funders Network for Smart Growth and Sustainable Communities. This program has already completed 20 home modifications for community members in need.

  • The Old Prices Fork School Community Revitalization Project will include 16 housing units for older adults in addition to serving as a local foods hub. CFNRV is both a funder and member of the project’s leadership team.

  • The CFNRV was recently honored for its Aging in Place work as one of ten nationwide recipients of the 2016 HUD Secretary’s Award for Public-Philanthropic Partnerships!

  • The NRV Timebank website was launched and now offers a system for giving and receiving volunteer time with fellow community members. Members can create an account and then post skills they are willing to share and the help they need. CFNRV serves as both a funder and member of the NRV Timebank leadership team.
