August: 2023 Event Planning
In this August 2023 Third Thursday session, we shared advice and tips for planning events, including what to consider when holding a fundraising event as well as events where fundraising is not the main objective. Special guest Ginny Ayers from Literacy Volunteers of the NRV joined us to share about her experience with events.

July: Building an Annual Giving Campaign
Learn about the steps to building a successful annual giving campaign for your nonprofit organization. Lead by Ann Bolton, Virginia Tech’s director of annual giving, you’ll learn about the importance of annual giving, how to build a foundation of donors, how to create a schedule that makes sense for your organization, and how to incorporate a giving day event into your planning. Ann shares how small, consistent efforts throughout the year can pay off in the long run.
