CFNRV’s Office Moved!
After many years of renting, we have purchased an office space and we’re moving on Friday, December 12! Our new office address is 200 Professional Park Dr, Suite 4, Blacksburg, VA 24060.
CFNRV Awards $269,000+ to Nonprofits & Schools
This fall, the CFNRV awarded $269,154.68 in grants to community organizations and public schools serving the New River Valley (NRV). Since awarding its first grant in 1997, the foundation has awarded more than $7.8 million in grants to fund hundreds of organizations that serve the NRV region.
CFNRV’s Scholarship Application Now Open
The Community Foundation of the New River Valley’s (CFNRV) online scholarship application is now open. In 2026, through the generosity of many donors, the CFNRV will give out more than $150,000 in scholarships to New River Valley (NRV) students.
First Steps Celebrates Five Years of Honoring Early Childhood Champions
In late September, First Steps, an initiative of the Community Foundation of the New River Valley (CFNRV), celebrated early childhood educators and advocates at the fifth annual Early Childhood Champion Awards. First Steps is a network of more than 60 New River Valley (NRV) organizations that support young children and families through education, childcare, healthcare, advocacy, and more. Annual GiveLocalNRV Giving Day Spotlights the Power of Philanthropy & Nonprofit Work in the New River Valley
This June, thousands of people are expected to participate in the New River Valley’s (NRV) 12th annual GiveLocalNRV Giving Day. Hosted by the Community Foundation of the New River Valley, this year’s 24-hour fundraising event will kick off at noon on Wednesday, June 25 and end at noon on Thursday, June 26.
