Thank you, New River Valley!

GiveLocalNRV is a virtual fundraising platform offered all year to New River Valley nonprofits. The signature event for this initiative is our annual giving day. Over the past eight years, Giving Day has raised more than $2.6 million for local nonprofits. This year, the event was held on June 22, 2022. In total, 1,996 donors gave $508,531 to 95 organizations.

About Giving Day

During this annual event, for 24 hours, donors can give a minimum of $5 to the organization or fund of their choice. The CFNRV broadly promotes Giving Day and individual nonprofit organizations are responsible for promoting their particular profile pages. To incentivize participation, the CFNRV offers grants and prizes to organizations on the giving day based on the amount of money they raise, the number of unique donors to their page, and more.

Through GiveLocalNRV the Community Foundation brings together nonprofits, donors, volunteers, and local businesses to support our community. No matter your role, we have the resources you need to partner and support this community effort.

2022 Participating Organizations

This year, 105 organizations serving the New River Valley registered for Giving Day! These organizations do incredible work in our community and we enjoyed working with them to make this year’s event another success.

Each year, we group organizations based on operating budgets because we have two incentive grants related to organization size. The ranges from this year’s participating organizations are: Large ($300,000+), Medium ($75,000 – $299,999), and Small ($74,999 or less). Check out the list below to learn who participated in 2022 and find your favorite organization’s page on the GiveLocalNRV website.
