After such positive feedback from the 2017 social media workshop, we are bringing Sarah Milston, founder of The Spark Mill, to the New River Valley for a full day of storytelling, social media and Giving Day Strategies! This is a tremendous opportunity not just to prepare for your Giving Day, but to support your organization’s marketing and outreach efforts more broadly.

The Spark Mill believes that all nonprofits regardless of size can have a high functioning and high return social media programs. You will learn the basics of social media and receive cost-effective and practical solutions with tangible action steps that can be implemented in your organization.

Sarah will explain why telling good stories is so important, identify what makes a story ‘good’ and how all of it relates to marketing your organization. You will also learn some tips and tools for creating your own stories.

How effective is your online presence and strategy? Come and learn about the impact of online giving, generational giving patterns, and see case studies of successful online campaigns. This portion will help participants prepare for GiveBigNRV annual online giving days.  Attendance guarantees that you walk away with tips, tools, and ideas to leverage the power of social media.
