Responsive Grant Program

The Responsive Grant Program at the CFNRV is an annual grant program intended to respond to ongoing or emergent community needs as recognized by the area nonprofits serving those needs directly. This program focuses on providing up to $4,000 in operating support so nonprofits can use the funds where they are most needed.

Montgomery County Educational Foundation (MCEF) Grant Program

The Montgomery County Educational Foundation (MCEF) Endowment is a component fund of the CFNRV. Applicants must apply through the CFNRV online application system. Grants of up to $1,000 are available to educators, support personnel, students, and PTA’s/PTO’s of the public schools within Montgomery County, Virginia as well as Head Start serving Montgomery County, and projects offered through the MCPS central office, Montgomery Central, or the NRV Juvenile Detention Home. Grants are awarded to projects that enhance, but not duplicate the standard public school curriculum. MCEF looks for innovative, creative ideas that fall outside the ordinary school budget, yet promise to augment the curricula in a meaningful way.
