Tips for Hosting and Launching a Successful Program
In today’s nonprofit world, we constantly hear the messages of needing more money for our programs. Hosting an annual fundraising event is one of many ways to accomplish this goal, but all too often, the process is scary and unfamiliar. Good planning ensures a successful event. Before you set the date and mail out the invitations, come to this Third Thursday presentation.
Shannon Hammons is Director of Marketing and Development with the New River Valley Agency on Aging and has spent 22 years in the field of aging services. He also serves on the Board of Directors with Downtown Blacksburg Inc. and is an Ambassador with the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce. During his career in marketing, communications, and development he has held many successful fundraising events and will share important tips and lessons learned at this Third Thursday event.
