2-1-1 Connecting People to Your Services
May 17 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am
Join us for an in-depth look at what it means to call 2-1-1, and how being a part of their database can help your agency help your clients. 2-1-1 Virginia is a state-funded program that serves as a hub for connecting individuals to services they need in their very own communities. The service is free, confidential, and available 24/7, 365 days per year. Programs listed in their referral database are either free or offered on a sliding scale. The goal is to help people navigate the complex world of health and human services available to them by listening to their needs and matching them with the most appropriate provider. Come hear about how they do that, and how you can help!
Carissa South has spent 20 years fundraising and building development operations for area nonprofits. She currently serves as SWVA Regional Outreach Specialist for 211 Virginia.
This event is free and open to the public. Networking begins at 7:30 am with the program at 8 am. Coffee, tea, and breakfast are available for purchase at Lucie Monroe’s.
